NOTICE OF INTENT FOR THE BRYAN COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ANNUAL COMPENSATION "Pursuant to OCGA 36-5-24, Bryan County Board of Commissioners hereby publishes notice of intent to adjust the Commissioners' compensation as follows. For the Chairman of the Board of Directors, a base compensation (inclusive of state mandated cost-of-living adjustments) of $18,080 shall be adjusted to a base compensation (inclusive of all state mandated cost-of-living adjustments) of $29,500. For District Commissioners, a base compensation (inclusive of state mandated cost-of-living adjustments) of $16,943 to a base (inclusive of state mandated cost-of-living adjustments) of $22,500. All prior state mandated cost-of-living adjustments are included in these amounts and therefore shall not further increase compensation. Longevity and training supplements, as provided by law, shall still apply to the extent earned. The Board of Commissioners will take action on this adjustment at its regularly scheduled meeting on February 10, 2026 at 66 Captain Matthew Freeman Drive, Richmond Hill, Georgia 31324 beginning at 5:30pm. If approved, the adjustment will take effect January 1, 2027. If approved, the adjustment shall result in a total annual increase in compensation for the Board of Commissioners of $39,205.
